ANNOUNCING THE FORMATION OF

GENERAL ALBRIGHT’S ARMY

Representatives, Bart and Meriel Springer, of the late Brigadier General Charles Albright of the Albright Mansion Restaurant and Authentic English Tea (a/k/a Headquarters) are now

calling persons of all ages to enlist in General Albright’s Army.

When you report to Headquarters at 66 Broadway, Jim Thorpe, Pa ask for an Enlistment Form or you may print the enlistment form from their website www.albrightmansion.com.  After completing and filing the form at Headquarters you will be given an “active duty” official ID Card and a “serial” number.

Each time you dine at Headquarters you will receive one point for each dollar spent.

Gift Certificate purchases and group dinners count as well.  On each visit just ask your server to “swipe” your ID card and start accumulating points.  You will be given a special receipt with your points awarded.  You can also check your point accumulation on the web using your active duty serial number.

Points count toward promotion from Private to Corporal and so on up the ranks.  With each rank comes new privileges and perks.  The first Private to reach 5,000 points in each Company will be promoted to the rank of Captain and become the commander of that Company.  The first 100 people enlisting will be enrolled in “prestigious” Company A.  There are troops who have already “hungrily” enlisted.

General Albright (posthumously) has also authorized the formation of a Recruiting Branch of the new Army.  Each soldier who recruits a new soldier will receive 50 Points “Bounty” for recruiting the new enlistee.  Recruit 100 people and become the commander of your own Company just like during the American Civil War!  Recruit a Regiment ( 10 Companies ) and become a Colonel!

General Charles Albright lived at 66 Broadway, Jim Thorpe, from 1860 until his untimely death in 1880 at age 49.  Albright was the commander of the following regiments during the Civil War: 132nd Pennsylvania Volunteers, the 34th Pennsylvania Militia and military commander for the “coal region of Pennsylvania” and lastly the 202nd Pennsylvania Volunteers which he personally formed in 1864.  General Albright (Mauch Chunk Cemetery) along with his noble comrades in arms are interred throughout the cemeteries of this area.

This novel customer loyalty program is the brain child of Bart and Meriel Springer, owners of the Albright Mansion restaurant and authentic English tea.  Bart says, “This customer loyalty program is designed to get adults and children into the living history of the Civil War era.  We can all learn more about the rich heritage of our town and this area.”  The Albright Mansion is open every day of the year except Christmas Day from 8 AM to 3 PM and on Fri and Sat from 8 AM until 9 PM.   On Friday and Saturday dinner is served from 5 to 9 PM.  Reservations are appreciated.  Phone 570-325-4440.  Please visit their website www.albrightmansion.com for continuing updates and announcements on this program.
